Each year Beginning with Books’ staff and friends gather for a Mock Caldecott discussion. We enjoy the chance to discuss and critique some of the best picture books published in the past year. Part of the fun is waiting for the Caldecott Committee to announce their decision. We are proud that our Mock Committee often selects the same books as the Real Committee. To keep us honest, we’re listing our winners below. The official announcement will be made at the ALA Mid-Winer Conference on Monday, January 18.
